Anderson County, Kentucky

Anderson County was formed from Franklin, Mercer, and Washington Counties on 16 Jan 1827. The county is named for Richard Clough Anderson, Jr., a Kentucky Legislator, U.S. Congressman, and minister to Colombia. Anderson's county seat is Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, the home town of Wild Turkey Bourbon.
