County Antrim
County Antrim, formerly in Ireland, became a part of Northern Ireland when that new United Kingdom country was created as a separate legal entity on 3 May 1921 under the Government of Ireland Act of 1920. The new autonomous Northern Ireland was formed from six of the nine parliamentary counties of Ulster, Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone, and the parliamentary boroughs of Belfast and Londonderry.
