Mother*Elizabeth Hooper1 b. 13 Apr 1729, d. a 1 Jan 1811
Birth*19 June 1753Bettie Snow was born on 19 June 1753 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Province (New England).1,2,3
Name VariationHer name was also spelled Betty and the Alden source speculated that her name may have been Bethia. Her father called her Betsey in his 1807 will.1,4,5
Marriage*30 October 1770She married Samuel Warren on 30 October 1770 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Province (New England).4
(Daughter) Will9 March 1807Betsey Warren was named in the will of her father Ebenezer Snow dated 9 March 1807 in Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts. The will named his son Ebenezer his Executor and made the following bequests: to his beloved wife Elizabeth, during her life, he gave the use of the easterly front room in his dwelling house along with a "decent annual maintenance" to be provided by his son Ebenezer; to his son Ebenezer, his heirs and assigns forever, he gave all his real and personal estate of whatever name or nature forever, and instructed Ebenezer to pay all the debts, funeral charges and other bequests named in the will; to each of his three daughters, Sarah Hall, Betsey Warren and Zilpah Bolton, he gave $20, and to his grandson Nathan Snow, he gave $1, stating again that all were to be paid by his son Ebenezer.6,5
(Heir) Probate1 January 1811In addition to a copy of her father's will, the only other document in the probate packet for her father's estate was dated 1 January 1811 at Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts. The will officially approved on that date, his son and Executor, Ebenezer Snow Jr., along with Jonathan Shaw, Esq. and Seth Hall, Gentleman, agreed to pay the sum of $5,000 to the Judge of the Probate and Wills. The condition of the obligation was that Ebenezer Snow Jr. agreed as Executor to assume and pay all the debts and legacies of his father, Ebenezer Snow. The document appears to imply that all recipients named in the will were still living on 1 Jan 1811.5
