The Hooper Genealogy reported incorrectly that Susanna was the daughter of Benjamin and Susanna (Battles) Washburn. Susanna Battles was Benjamin's first wife, who had died in 1745 and therefore could not have been Susanna Washburn's mother. Benjamin married Mary Cushman in 1748, a year before Susanna's birth, and was recorded as Susanna's mother in the Bridgewater birth records.2,3 |
