Census US 1900*2 June 1900Eliza and Harvey Willis were enumerated on the 1900 census taken on 2 June 1900 in Spring Valley, Dallas County, Iowa. Harvey was 69 years of age and worked as a livestock shipper, and Eliza was 65. They had been married for 48 years and had a total of 12 children, 7 of whom were living, and three of whom resided with their parents in 1900. William was 36 years of age and, like his father, worked as a livestock shipper. He was enumerated as married for five years, although his wife was not enumerated in the Willis household. Ella was single, 32 years of age and worked as a stenographer and Lena was 21, single and also working as a stenographer.4
