Heaton Families II reported that St. Wilfrid's Church in Alford was built in 1350 and was restored in 1867, and that according to Bruce Heaton who visited the site, Alford is a market town and was founded in 1283. Nathaniel and Elizabeth may have lived there after their marriage since their children were baptized there. 1630 was a notable year in that a major plague hit the town killing many of his residents.2,5,1,6 
Relocation*after April 1634Elizabeth and Nathaniel Heaton moved shortly after April 1634 to London. They stayed there only briefly, probably in preparation for their emigration to New England.5 
Immigration*18 September 1634Elizabeth and Nathaniel Heaton immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony (New England), with their four children, sons Samuel and Jabez and daughters Leah and Mary in 1634. The family sailed aboard the ship Griffin, leaving England on 01 August 1634 and arriving in Boston on 18 September 1634 with about one hundred passengers and livestock.7,8,1 
Religion*2 November 1634 On 2 November 1634, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Heaton were admitted as members of the First Church of Boston.3,1 
Residence*Elizabeth's husband Nathaniel built a house with a garden in Boston on the east side of Washington Street, between Milk Street and Bedford Street. He later acquired land up the hill toward Vernon Street. The family's neighbor James Johnson proved to be a lifelong friend to Nathaniel's wife, Elizabeth, through three widowhoods.1

Dower Rights*13 May 1660 On 13 May 1660, Elizabeth, her name recorded as "Elizabeth Minor", formally the wife of Nathaniel Heaton, released her dower rights to property to her son Jabez Heaton, his name spelled "Jabesh."1 
Land Records*18 July 1665 On 18 July 1665, Elizabeth and her living children sold a parcel of land in Boston bounded on the west end with Broade Street leading into Rocksberry. The parcel was approximately 50 ft. by 270 ft.15 
Will*11 March 1671Describing herself as weak in body, but blessed by God of a sound mind, Elizabeth signed her will on 11 March 1671 in Boston before witnesses John Hord Jr. and Hannah Townsend.9 
Death*She probably died in Boston sometime after writing her will and before her estate was probated. She was probably between 65 and 70 years of age.16 
Probate*30 January 1682The estate of Elizabeth Maynard, late of Boston, widow, deceased was opened for probate on 30 January 1682 in Boston, Suffolk County, and her son Nathaniel Heaton and Cornelius Fisher, her deceased daughter Leah's husband, both of Wrentham and identified as "two of her sons", were given full power to administer her estate. They gave bond, and the next day submitted an inventory taken by John Marion Sr. and Robert Butcher that included both real and personal property valued at £110:04:03 in total.16 
Will27 December 1683When the will of Elizabeth Maynard was exhibited to the court on 27 December 1683 by her son Nathaniel Heaton, her Executor, Mr. Edward Rawson and John Marion Sr. made oath that they were present when Elizabeth "Minor" signed her will, that it was written by Rawson and that she was of disposing mind.17
