Relationship Note*Were Reverend Ralph Partridge and George Partridge related?... Regarding George Partridge of Duxbury, James Savage in his Genealogical Dictionary suggested he was "perhaps" a brother of Reverend Ralph Partridge being mentioned in 1636 Duxbury records, the same year that Ralph came. Charles Henry Pope in his Pioneers of Massachusetts stated Ralph had a son George who was granted land in Duxbury.

It was only after Robert Charles Anderson, in his Great Migration series, presented his convincing analysis that this researcher could state with confidence that George Partridge and the Reverend Ralph Partridge may not have been related at all, and were most certainly not father and son. Anderson stated, "Close examination of the records reveals no evidence that these two men were related at all" and listed the following points in reaching his conclusion.2,3,4,5

Its mission was to train ambulance drivers to evacuate casualties on the Western Front in France. Many volunteers were medical students who wanted to do their part for the war effort.2
