Some of the information from the website is presented here in acknowledgement that not all of the early Heatons to America were "our" Heatons, and specifically to remind us of the reasons for the confusion expressed by our Heaton family researchers over the years as they tried to distinguish between the Lincolnshire John Heaton and the Yorkshire John Heaton, the two John Heatons of Loudon County, Virginia.
