Reverend Michael Neligan1

Residence*1 August 1755He was described on 1 August 1755, and also at his death, as being of Granard, County Longford, Ireland.1,2
(Executor) Probate13 March 1756Probate was granted on the estate of Andrew Bell of Ardleny on 13 March 1756 to Robert Bell, the son and one of the executors named in Andrew's will, saving the right of Lettice Bell, Samuel Donaldson, Reverend Michael Neligan and Alexander Delanouze, the other executors.2
(Executor) EstateReverend Michael Neligan was an executor for the will of Andrew Bell of Ardleny. Andrew's will confirmed that his wife Lettice Bell was to receive £14 yearly for life out of the lands of Aghacreevy as reserved to her by their marriage settlement upon the marriage of his son Andrew Bell. He bequeathed his son Andrew 5 shillings, having already settled on him the lands of Aghacreevy. His son Robert Bell was to receive his title and the lease of Ardleny when he came of age and his daughter Ann was to receive £100, provided she marry into a good protestant family. His granddaughters, Lettice Donaldson, Lettice Hinds and Lettice Ginty were each to receive £10 to be raised out of the lands of Lavagh upon their marriages, and in case any of the granddaughters should die unmarried, their legacies were to revert to their respective mothers.

Andrew's will then reviewed the line of succession, stating that if his son Andrew were to die without male issue, then the estate settled on him was to revert to the testator's son Robert Bell and his male issue. Failing such, his interest in Aghacreevy was to revert to the male issue of his eldest daughter and so on to the male issue of his youngest daughter successively. If his son Robert Bell were to die without male or female issue, the profits of Ardleny and Lavagh were to return in the same kind to his other five daughters and their heirs. (None of his children, other than Andrew and Robert, were named.)

He appointed his loving son Robert Bell, his wife Lettice Bell, his son-in-law Samuel Donaldson, Reverend Michael Neligan and Alexander Delanouze executors, and stated his desire that his son Robert might be directed by his other executors, and that he was not to marry without their consent. He further directed that the legacies charged on the lands of Lavagh were to be paid out of profits thereof, and further profits were to then return to his son Robert and his issue.

The will was witnessed by his son-in-law John Ginty, John Wilson and George Finley.2
Probate*1761His will was probated in 1761.1

Birth*6 August 1877Lulu Nelson was born on 6 August 1877 in Iowa.5,6,7
Marriage*7 August 1896She married first, as his first wife, Richard Francis Timmons, son of Richard M. Timmons and Sarah E. Raines, on 7 August 1896 in Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska.1,8,9
Census US 1900*3 June 1900Lulu and Richard Francis Timmons were enumerated on the 1900 census taken on 3 June 1900 in Grant, Cloud County, Kansas. Richard, who was enumerated as R. F., was 26 years of age and worked as a day laborer, and Lulu was 22 years of age. They rented their house, had been married for four years, and Lulu was recorded as having given birth to only one child, and that he was living, however the couple's two sons were enumerated with them in 1900. Earl was 2 years old and the baby, Roy, was two months old.10
Divorce*Lulu and Richard Francis Timmons separated, and were probably divorced, although we don't know exactly when. They were enumerated together with their two sons, and recorded as married, in June of 1900, and we've not been able to find Richard, Lulu, or either of their sons, with any certainty, anywhere in the 1910 census. We suspect they may have been relocating that year from Kansas to Oregon, and may have evaded the census takers. Richard married his second wife in September of 1912 in Oregon and, on the 1920 census, his two sons from his first marriage were enumerated with him and his second wife. His first wife also remarried, although we don't know when, and have not been able to identify her anywhere on the 1920 census. Her Find a Grave memorial recorded her married surname as "Clausen", and from the Washington state record of her death in January of 1937 we learned that she was a widow, and that her husband's name had been "Carl Clausen", whom we've also not been able to identify. On the 1930 census she was recorded as Lula Clausen, was 51 years of age, divorced, and was the Landlady of a Rooming House she rented.11,12,1,13,14
Marriage*1915She married second Carl Clausen in 1915.1
Census US 1930*5 April 1930Lulu Clausen was enumerated as the head of her household, which was a rooming house, on the 1930 census taken on 5 April 1930 at 612 Virginia Street, Seattle, King County, Washington. Her name was recorded as "Lula" and she was 51 years of age and divorced. She worked on her own account, and her occupation was Landlady of the Rooming House she rented for $65 per month.14
Death*3 January 1937She died on 3 January 1937 at King County Hospital #2, Seattle, King County, Washington, at age 591,13
