Henry's twin brother John and his family, their parents, Ann and Henry Thornburgh , and another of Rachel's brothers and his new wife, Lucinda and Jonathan Willis, were enumerated at neighboring farms and appeared on the same page of the census as Henry and Rachel. The Willis's father also lived nearby as did Lucinda (Beeson) Willis' father and her family.8

A large number of their extended family lived in their household in 1870 including: their orphaned Beeson grandchildren from their daughter's first marriage, Fremont and Malinda Beeson, ages 13 and 9, respectively, their deceased daughter's second husband, George Wesley Baker, who was 32, a farmer with real estate valued at $2,500 and a personal estate of $1,700, and their deceased daughter's son Frederick Baker, age 5, and Rachel's brother Henry's children, Joseph and Rachael Willis, ages 14 and 12 respectively. Also enumerated in the household were two mill workers, George Johnson, age 27, and Henry Muntz, age 30.9
